Where Are They Now?
Below you will find a brief summary of what the team members are up to these days.
MAUREEN BREILING, a.k.a. Mars, is getting her Masters of Space Studies at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. She will graduate in August 2000. From February to May of 2000 she will be interning at the National Space Development Agency of Japan, in the Micro-Spacecraft Research Group in the Tsukuba Space Center, outside of Tokyo. In her spare time she is traveling across Europe, practicing her French, and learning Japanese.
DINA HADI joined on the MILSTAR Project in Intersegment Systems Test at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, in Sunnyvale, California, after spending her summer in Alexandria, Egypt.
CORINA YU-FAN HU is a first year graduate student at Stanford University's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She is responsible for the operations of the Artemis picosatellites once they're ejected from OPAL. She is currently the lead of the Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem on the next Stanford-SCU joint nanosatellite project, Emerald, and part of the OPAL operations team.
THERESA KUHLMAN is currently working at Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara, CA. She is a Manufacturing Development Engineer working on a fiber optic switch. For a little change of pace, she teaches Sunday school to four-year olds!
AMY SLAUGHTERBECK is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering at Santa Clara University. She TA's for several courses including logic design, circuits, and microwave and RF courses. She will be working at Agilent Technologies in Palo Alto, California after graduation in June of 2000.
ADELIA VALDEZ is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering as a GEM Fellow at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is continuing her work with satellites by working on the HOKIESAT project at Virginia Tech. She intends to pursue the specialty of satellite communication systems.
