Sensor Subsystem

 Revision Two

There are six IR/Visible phototransistors on board the picosatellite.  Each phototransistor is placed on each face of the 8" by 3" by 1" structure.   The raw data from these phototransistors are downloaded to the ground station where further manipulation is handled.  This will enhance the sensitivity of the onboard attitude determination functionality.

The data read from these photo-sensors are fed into an analog-to-digital converter within the microprocessor onboard. This, in turn, goes through the transmitter circuit and is transmitted via our antenna to a receiver at our ground station.
